Co., Ltd.- an affiliate of Yunnan Yunwei Co., Ltd. to construct a 1.35 MT cement production line by using carbide

slag on EPC mode for Yunwei Baoshan Company in Shidian county of Baoshan city, along with exploitation and

transportation of the limestone quarry and the related facilities.

As an important organic chemical producing base in Yunnan province, Yunnan Yunwei Co., Ltd. has calcium carbide

output around 600,000t/y by all the constructed or under construction projects altogether in Baoshan city. Yunwei

Company built the project in order to protect the ecological environment. It is to use carbide slag out of PVC

production, waste tailings in the process of limestone mining, and other wastes like lime dregs resulted from

calcium carbide fabrication as raw materials to produce cement, and establish a recycling economy, to achieve the

purpose of comprehensive utilization of resources and energy saving. This project is based on the “NSP 100% wet

carbide slag cement” technology which is undertaken by CDI in the National Technology Support Program in

“Eleventh Five Year Plan”, and in combination with the characteristics of raw material adopted by Yunwei

Company, to improve the engineer technology and core technology equipments and respond with technology innovation

the national call for vigorous development by recycling economy.
