The 5000t/d production line of Belarus Cement Company has passed the performance test successfully

Release Time:12/24/2012

On Nov. 23rd (local time), the 5000t/d production line of Belarus Cement Company, which was designed and supplied core equipments by CDI passed the 72 hours performance test successfully, and all the technical indicators were met the requirements in the contract.

This production line is to produce cement with chalk as raw material for clinker. However, there are not too many successful cases in the worldwide cement industry to adopt the new dry process technology to produce cement clinker while use chalk of moisture content up to 30% as the raw material. As the chalk has the characteristics such as high moisture, high viscous, stable chemical composition, fine granularity of dry powder, and so on, CDI has done lots of tests, engineering research and comparisons between different technical proposals. And finally, we adopt a special process to solve the drying of chalk with high moisture and the grinding of big and hard materials, and the stability of raw meal; we use the CDC preheater and precalciner system to solve the drying problem of chalk with moisture as high as up to 30%, and at the same time make the full use of waste heat from the burning system. And this is the first time all over the world that all of these core process technologies are integrated and used in one project.

At the same time, another clinker production line using the same chalk with high moisture as raw material for clinker and also designed and supplied core equipments by CDI, the Belarus Krasnoselskiy 5000t/d clinker production line, has been put into operation successfully as well.

The successful operation of these two clinker production lines both use the high moisture chalk as raw material fully proved that CDI has mature new dry process technology of using high moisture chalk as raw material for clinker production. This technology has provided a strong technical support for reducing the energy consumption of cement clinker production that uses high moisture chalk as raw material and for large-scale mass production by using high moisture raw materials.
