THE VERTICAL MILL CRM4622 THAT FABRICATED BY CDI WAS PUT INTO OPERATION

On December 10 2010, vertical mill CRM 4622, the first mill ever in China that produces GGBS with a capacity of 600,000 tons per annum, was put into operation for the 3rd expansion line of Lubi Building Materials Co., Ltd., and reached its guaranteed figures on December 20, 2010. As this mill is designed and fabricated by CDI on his own, its operation indicates that CDI has become one of the few suppliers in China capable of providing vertical mills for all-round series, which helps to knock out foreign companies’ monopoly over the supply of main equipment for large-sized slag grinding system, considerably lower down the investment and shorten the delivery time of slag vertical mill. Furthermore, it tremendously promotes energy saving and sustainable development of China’s building materials and metallurgy industries.

Running smoothly at site, vertical mill CRM 4622, under the condition that the blain is 4500cm2/g, has an output more than 95t/h, pressure difference less than 3000Pa and unit power consumption of the system 40kWh/t. As the end-user, Lubi Building Materials Co., Ltd., says “running state and process parameters of vertical mill CRM 4622 can rival the 2 imported vertical mills our company has been using.”

The roller of CRM series slag/clinker vertical mill adopts the technique of main roller (M roller) + subsidiary roller (S roller), among which 2 or 3 special S rollers act on the materials to stabilize the layers to be fed into M roller, and then 2 or 3 M rollers carry out grinding by exert pressures on the material layers via hydraulic cylinder and roller swaying system. The unique stabilization of the material layers by S rollers greatly improves effective utilization of grinding pressures exerted by M rollers and therefore lower down the unit power consumption compared with other slag vertical mills.

Up to present, many raw vertical mills fabricated by CDI have been in operation for production lines from 2500t/d ~ 6000t/d, and now the CRM series slag vertical mill can satisfy GGBS production ranging from 300,000 tons per annum to 1,200,000 tons per annum.
