Signing of EPC Contract for EC 6000TPD Clinker Cement Production Line in Egypt
Recently, 2017 in Cairo, CDI signed the contract with Egyptian Cement For Cement Projects Management S.A.E (herein referred to as EC) for construction on turnkey basis of one 6000TPD clinker cement production line in Egypt. Mr. Ahmed Abou Hashima, Chairman of EC, and Mr. Chen Tao, Vice General Manager of CDI, signed the contract as representatives of each party.
Located in Sohag, about 400km south of Cairo, the project is to set up a complete cement production line from raw materials crushing to packing and dispatching of cement. The project is undertaken on turnkey basis, including engineering design, equipment procurement and supply, civil construction, erection, commissioning, training, and performance tests. It is scheduled to achieve production of clinker and cement within 24-25 months.
As a fundamental breakthrough of CDI’s cooperation with private investors in Egyptian market after CDI’s undertaking of GOE Arish Phase II 2×5500TPD clinker cement production lines and Beni Suef 6×6000TPD clinker cement production lines, this project further enhances CDI’s competitiveness to undertake large-scale projects of cement production lines in Egypt and even African market.
