On August 25, 2010, a delegation of 10 inspectors led by Mr. Wang Shengwen, Vice Director of Department of Outward Investment and Economic Cooperation of Ministry of Commerce, accompanied by leaders from Sichuan Provincial Department of Commerce, visited CDI to inspect and investigate CDI’s implementation of “Administrative Regulation on Contracting Foreign Projects”. Mr. Jiao Feng, Chairman of the Board of Directors of CDI, Mr. Shen Anchang, Executive Vice General Manager of CDI, Mr. Sun Zhihong, Vice General Manager of CDI, and Mr. Liu Xiaoning, Assistant to General Manager, were present at the meeting with the delegation.

During the meeting, Mr. Jiao Feng, firstly expressed appreciation to Ministry of Commerce and Sichuan Provincial Department of Commerce for their constant attention and support to CDI, and then expounded to the delegation development and operation of CDI for the recent years, especially CDI’s general guidelines and current development concerning turnkey contracting overseas projects. Mr. Shen Anchang made a report in details on implementation of “Administrative Regulation on Contracting Foreign Projects” among CDI’s existing overseas turnkey projects and gave a presentation of “Management Software of Turnkey Projects” developed by CDI and used in all CDI’s turnkey projects. Meanwhile, Mr. Sun Zhihong addressed problems and difficulties confronted during execution of overseas turkey projects.

Mr. Wang Shengwen, Vice Director of Department of Outward Investment and Economic Cooperation of Ministry of Commerce,recognized achievements obtained by CDI in recent years, and expected that CDI will continue to exert its advantages to undertake more foreign projects and make more contributions to China’s outward investment and economic cooperation.Furthermore, Mr. Wang gave a brief introduction to policies of the State Council and Ministry of Commerce on encouraging and supporting large-sized enterprises to undertake projects overseas as well as guidelines of administrative regulation on contracting foreign projects. Besides, Mr. Wang confirmed that the Ministry of Commerce will, based on the related policies and regulations, endeavor to help CDI solve the problems and difficulties confronted during project executions. In the end,Mr. Wang expressed thankfulness to CDI’s support and full cooperation.

Also present at the meeting were leaders from Sichuan Provincial Department of Commerce: Mr. Guo Xianglin, Vice General Director, and Mr. Xu Kun, Chief of Outward Investment and Economic Cooperation Division.
