Visit to CDI by Senior Management of Lafarge China

On October 16, 2008, the Senior Management of Lafarge China, Mr. Franars Maison-Blanche, the Senior Vice President, Mr. Philippe Bachelet, the Project Supervisor, and Mr. Martin Claus, the Procurement Supervisor, visited CDI and held a meeting with Mr. Jiao Feng, the Board Chairman and the President of CDI, Mr. Chen Tao, the Vice President of CDI in charge of the overseas marketing, and Mr. Wang Wanhong, the Director of the Overseas Marketing Department.

 
The two sides had thorough communications and exchanges about how to further cooperation and expressed satisfactions over the profound friendship and effects gained through long-term cooperation. In addition, the two sides discussed the issues like impacts of the current global economic situation on the international cement market, adjustment of company’s strategy, business explorations and etc., and finally reached a consensus that besides in the Chinese market, the two sides should work more closely together for businesses in Asia and even all over the world, to achieve a win-win state.

After the meeting, Mr. Franars and the Senior Management visited CDI’s manufacture base and highly evaluated the product quality control system. Moreover, they were deeply impressed by the grate cooler that CDI developed independently and owned the intellectual property rights, and declared that they would like to apply the grate cooler to several production lines under construction or to be constructed by Lafarge.
