CDI ranked among “National top 30 for Overseas Project EPC contracting turnover in 2006”

Recently,《International Economic Collaboration》magazine published by State Commercial Bureau announced the ranking list of “National top 30 companies for Overseas Project EPC contracting turnover in 2006”, in which, CDI has ranked 19th position by its annual turnover.

In recent years, under the domestic situation of saturating market requirement for cement engineering construction, CDI is aware of the importance of “Go abroad” actions and actively explore overseas markets with its comprehensive predominance in technology, management and construction ability. Since setting foot in overseas business from 2004, CDI has successfully constructed several large-scale cement EPC projects in Vietnam, UAE etc. countries. In 2006, CDI achieved total turnover of USD 275 million for overseas project EPC contracting, which account for 40% of that in Sichuan Province, and newly signed contract amount reached to USD 213 million, accounting for 18% of that in the Province.

From the beginning of this year, CDI has further strengthened endeavors for developing international markets, and has singed EPC contracts for cement engineering projects in Yemen, Brazil and Ethiopia etc. countries. Till now, newly signed contract amount has reached to USD 264 million, and has achieved turnover of USD 33 million.

Through joining in international competition and developing real business abroad, the integrated ability of CDI has increasingly grown, and promptly developed itself from being engaged mainly in cement project design and equipment manufacturing to overseas EPC business earnings accounting for more than 80% of the total business earnings. CDI is gradually ranked among the world famous cement project contractors, and also becomes highlight spot in overseas contractors for Sichuan Province in the area of building materials. CDI is an active promoter for pushing development of overseas project contracting in Sichuan Province.
