In October 2018, CDI signed the EPC Contract of EL-FERDAN Bridge project with Egyptian Ministry of Defence. This is a bridge on Suez Canal in Egypt with a Double-swing Rail Bridge across New Sues Canal with rotating function. CDI has conquered huge technical difficulty in bridge industry, which ensures the convenient passing through from two sides of the Suez Canal without interfering the daily passage of vessels along Suez Canal.
This project, across New Suez Canal adjacent to Sinai peninsula in the east, has an important strategic meaning for the Egypt. During the process of preliminary scheme-design and engineering design period, CDI and its research team contact many top international famous bridge-design company in China and Europe, after several rounds of communication and consultation, a final perfect scheme is provided to the Owner.
