SCH416H type S-cooler developed and fabricated independently by CDI was put into operation for 3 × 5000t/d clinker production line of Taiwan Cement (Chongqing) Co., Ltd. in October 2010, and after 3-month continuous operation, its various parameters have got to the highest level both at home and abroad  

 

Composed of ladder-type grate plates, standard modules and HC1339 crusher and equipped with 9 sets of centrifugal fan, SCH416H type S-cooler has the power consumption for cooling unit clinker 15% less than the 3rd-generation grate cooler and it can be the best choice for clinker cooling system of 5000~6000t/d clinker production line. Since its being put into operation with materials for 5000t/d clinker production line of Taiwan (Chongqing) Cement Co., Ltd., this first set of SCH416H type S-cooler has achieved the following parameters: temperature of outlet clinker being 80C, temperature of secondary air over 1100C, temperature of tertiary air above 900C, output capacity of the system stably remaining over 5500t/d, heat efficiency 76.2%. Up to now, the whole clinker cooling system has been running smoothly with easy operation and therefore improved clinker quality while decreased power consumption of the system. The end-user gave a very high score to the outstanding performance of this grate cooler.

 

As the core equipment of clinker production, with long time application and continuous betterment, grate cooler has been developed into the 4th generation, which compared with the 3rd generation has lower cooling air flow, power consumption and outlet clinker temperature but higher temperature for secondary and tertiary air, higher heat recovery efficiency, almost zero abrasion to the fixed grate plates, zero leaking, no ground pit and hence lower costs for civil construction. Furthermore, besides the above mentioned advantages of the 4th generation cooler, the S-cooler of which CDI owns the proprietary intellectual property rights (invention patent right: 201010261355.8) has its own excellences excelling the normal 4th generation: special sweeping conveying device that at the same time of pushing clinker carries out repetition of 2 actions as compulsive stirring blending and rolling forwarding to more evenly distribute the material layers; meanwhile, the even distribution of clinker granules balances resistances of material layers to make the cooling air distributing in equilibrium and hence improve the heat exchange efficiency and speed; spot sealing between the moving parts and the grate bed helps to avoid any problem that may occur to reliability and lift time in case of beeline sealing or surface sealing; the automatic flow regulator under the grate plates offers a more precise control over supply of cooling air; complete module design and independent drive of module makes it possible to keep running as normal during maintenance.

 

Recently, SCH416R cooler used for Luoyang Wanji 5000t/d project has been put into operation with materials and kept running smoothly. SCH416R cooler used for Yibin Junlian 5000t/d project has finished commissioning and will be put into operation by the end of the year. Up to the present, more than 10 sets of S-cooler supplied by CDI have been used for various projects.
