Turnkey Contract Signed by CDI with Al Jouf Cement Company for Disposal of Old Tires as Alternative Fuel

In May 2014, CDI signed a turnkey contract with AL JOUF CEMENT COMPANY for an alternative fuel system (with old tires) for two 5000TPD cement production lines. Located in Turaif, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the project mainly includes: 1) pre-treatment (shredding and classification) system of the old tires; 2) transportation, measuring and feeding system of the shredded tires; 3) burning control of the shredded tires in the pyro system. When the project is completed, it can dispose about 70,000 tons of old tires every year and the fuel substitution ratio can reach over 40%.
