Visit to GOE Beni Suef Project by Outside Directors of CNBM

the 23rd of September, a delegation of Outside Directors of CNBM, Mr. Zhao
Xiaogang, Mr. Chen Jin’en, Mr. Zhao Jibing, Mr. Xu Lipeng, Ms. Zhang Yanling
and Mr. Liu Xinquan, together with Assistant Group General Manager, Mr. Guang
Zhaoyu, visited our site of GOE Beni Suef Project in Egypt. The delegation was
accompanied by Mr. Song Shoushun, the Chairman and Party Secrtary of Sinoma
International, Mr. Jiang Zhongwen, the Vice President and Secretary of the
Board of Directors of Sinoma International, Ms. Fan Liting, Administrator of
Office for the Board of Directors and Administrator of Office for President of
Sinoma International, Mr. Wu Hong, General Manager of SINOMA-CD, and Mr. Liu Xiaoning,
Vice General Manager of SINOMA-CDI.
GOE
Beni Suef Project is, up to present, the one and only project all over the
world, which has six cement production lines with capacity of 6000 TPD clinker
each under construction at the same time, and is also the biggest production
base in the history of world cement industry. The delegation was reported with
the execution of the Project.
Mr.
Liu Xiaoning gave a detailed introduction to the contract conditions,
cost-control policy, profitability forecast, risk-control measures,
construction safety management and the latest progress on the Project, and also
relayed the full acknowledgement by the Defense of Ministry of GOE of the
progress and CDI’s control and management of the Project. According to the
present progress, our team was confident to accomplish the Project as scheduled
and guaranteed.
Mr.
Song Shoushun stated that GOE Beni Suef Project has built a strong foundation
for Sinoma International to take root in Egyptian market and realize its local
transformation. Nowadays, Sinoma International has further perfected its
administrative mechanism on international market, and formulated an overall
industrialization development scheme on deep-plowing oversee market. By taking
Egyptian market as an example, Sinoma International would carry out its
comprehensive regional distribution and market planning in such areas as
Nigeria, Indonesia, Vietnam and Sri Lanka, and meanwhile would make good
preparations for market resources, industry guidance and safeguard measures to
promote the above areas to become the critical fields for Sinoma
International’s realization of its “thirteenth five” strategy and
internationalization strategy, and further improve the economic efficiency
,brand value and market dominance of Sinoma International, and hence to lay the
first solid step for achieving the Group’s “Six One” Plan and international
energy cooperation strategy.
The
Outside Directors extended their full affirmation to the achievement of GOE
Beni Suef Project and their high appreciation of the hard working devoted by
the project team. The Outside Directors expressed that to promote “outgoing” of
proprietary techonology and equipment through undertaking EPC project was
commendable, and the success of the Project was not only a breakthrough of
construction schedule in China’s cement industry, but also a shining model of
“Chinese Speed”. Concerning the works to be done at the next stage, the Outside
Directors put forward 3 suggestions. Firstly, pay close attentions to market, schedule,
safety, exchange rate, social stability and etc. At the same time, enhance
precaution against and control of risks to make sure the Project to be
completed as contracted. Secondly, keep exploring the best balance between low
costs and high efficiency, and make full use and coordination of internal
resources to achieve “developing overseas market as a package while dividing
the works among various responsibilities”. Thirdly, try to realize effective
expansion and extension of the industry chain by profoundly and deeply
exploiting local market.
