Resource Stewardship Day: SINOMA CDI Hosts Open Event in Egypt
On 22nd August 2026, SINOMA CDI Egypt Company held a "Resource Stewardship Day" open event under the theme of "Integration & Coexistence". Over 100 local employees and their families took part, and the "Panda" Junior Reporter Team of Chengdu TV visited the event on site.

Wu Yong, General Manager Assistant of SINOMA CDI and Director of Egypt Engineering Co., Ltd., attended the event and delivered a speech. He extended a warm welcome to the visiting "Panda" Junior Reporter Team and sincere gratitude to the family members who have long supported the development of the Egypt company. He also introduced the development histories and core businesses of China National Building Material Group (CNBM), SINOMA International and the Egypt company, and reviewed the company's achievements over more than a decade in participating deeply in local urban construction and serving the local economy.

On-site Visit Inspires New Insights
The "Panda" Junior Reporter Team toured the Egypt R&D Center and the open event. Company engineers presented a number of landmark "super projects" constructed by CDI in Egypt, including the largest cement plant in the history of the world's cement industry built simultaneously at the same time and place, the world's largest span double-wing swing double-track railway bridge, the world's largest floating-roof tank, and the world's largest single white sugar warehouse. The engineers explained the technical features behind these projects, their pioneering value in the industry, and their role in driving local economic development, as well as the ingenuity and team strength of Chinese and Egyptian engineers working hand in hand.

Art Exchange Fosters Mutual Growth
The event provided a platform for cultural experience and talent showcase. Chinese and Egyptian teenagers performed artistic programs rich in cultural characteristics — from traditional Chinese quyi folk arts to Egyptian traditional dance — and jointly sang the Chinese song Chengdu and exchanged gifts, conveying sincere friendship through melodious songs and graceful dances, enhancing mutual understanding and forging friendship amid performances and interactions.

Cultural Integration Knows No Borders
Participants watched themed videos to learn how Chinese folding fans evolved from practical cooling tools into cultural symbols and spread along the ancient Silk Road to gain popularity in Europe. Guided by Chinese staff, Egyptian employees and their children painted traditional Chinese folding fans, depicting mountains, rivers, plants and creatures on the fan surface to experience the 5,000-year Chinese culture within this tiny space. They also recited the Tang poem Spring Dawn and made themed sticker ornaments, appreciating the rhythmic beauty and profound cultural connotations of the poem.

A series of immersive cultural activities transcend geographical boundaries. Fun and interactive, they bring Chinese and Egyptian employees as well as young people from both countries closer together, advancing mutual learning between civilizations and deepening cultural exchanges.

SINOMA CDI Egypt has held the Resource Stewardship Day open event for three consecutive years. The campaign conveys CNBM’s core philosophy of “Making Good Use of Resources and Serving Construction” to local employees and their families. It showcases the achievements of SINOMA CDI Egypt, which has been deeply rooted in Egypt for more than a decade, supporting local urban development and boosting the national economy. Through diverse cultural experiences, the event builds a bridge for people-to-people bonds, deepens Egyptian employees and their children’s understanding and recognition of Chinese culture, and further consolidates the collaborative strength of this cross-cultural team.
